Des Fox
Des Fox is an Irish guitarist and songwriter who grew up musically in 1980’s Manchester, and his band, Year of the French, were for a time world-famous in Didsbury. Influenced by Paul Brady, Neil Young and Robert Cray, he can usually be found strumming a Martin acoustic in his home studio or enjoying the beach in Beer, Devon. To Wilfgang, Des contributes composition, lyrics, and all the real guitar work.
Chris Parr
Chris Parr has been playing drums since he was 14 but moved up several levels of seriousness as a result of studying for 7 years under a London-based pro drummer. Chris plays with The Remnants at home in Herefordshire. Whenever he can get a Jurassic Coast visa, he heads down to play with Wilfgang. Chris is a keen disciple of Steve Gadd and J P Bouvet. His tastes are wide, with AWB, Steely Dan, and Sam Fender being particular favourites. In addition to drums, Chris contributes lyrics to Wilfgang.
Steve Sanders
Steve Sanders is a Lyme-based singer, songwriter and guitarist, who has sung in choirs, in cover bands, in the shower and everywhere else since he was small. Under his alter ego Stephen Robin Sanders, Steve has written, recorded and released several albums and EPs. His musical influences are very varied, ranging from opera to rock music, but his focus is the poetry of the lyric and the beauty of the melody. In Wilfgang, he contributes composition, lyrics, lead vocals, and acoustic guitar.
Niall & Hilary Squire
From their wonderful Bridport recording studio, Niall and Hilary Squire have become an invaluable part of Wilfgang. Niall pulls from his 40 years plus as a professional music producer/arranger to give the songs depth and polish. He also contributes bass and Hammond organ. Hilary contributes her beautiful backing vocals, as well as sax and keys.
Wilf
Wilf has never missed a Wilfgang recording session. He splits his time between the carpet in the control room and the rug in the hall. He contributes calmness, team spirit, inspiration - and graciously offered use of his name in return for a slice of merchandising revenue.
